The heat is on folks! It finally has decided to be summer, of which I am not a fan of at all! Fall can’t get to Oklahoma quick enough for me!
One place you can go to cool off after a long and hot day’s work is the new Main Slice Pizza within Connie and Natalie’s Main Street Bakery and Café! They are open for dine in or carry out from 4-9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. on Sunday. Finally. a place to go after church to eat here in Erick! The crust is perfect and the sauce and toppings can’t be beat! Please give it a shot as you won’t be sorry!
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Francisco Guevara “Frank” Garcia. Services were held Wednesday, 7/23, at the chapel at Whinery Funeral Service & Cremation Center.
The family of Norma Reed, who passed away at 103 years old, will be hosting a Celebration of Life service to honor of her. I will have the date, time and place in the 8/2 edition of this newspaper. She was a lifelong member of the Erick Church of Christ.
