Dr. Patsy Parker, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, offered the following perspective on higher education: “A college education creates a well-rounded education, so students take science, math, history, the arts — all of that combined with their major.
At SWOSU, many of our majors also require handson experience, such as engineering technology, nursing, and our College of Pharmacy. Our full professors teach courses directly, and we have strong partnerships with industries, so many students have job offers before they graduate.”
