Route 66 Centennial Coloring Contest: Open to all Beckham County students for a 2026 Route 66 Centennial Calendar that we will be publishing for sale and have available at the Purple People Eater Fest. The forms for the contest have been distributed to the Erick, Sayre, and Elk City Libraries, and the Gallery in Sayre. And of course, here at Erick’s city hall. The deadline for entry is August 29th.
Purple Pageant: Deadline for entry August 29th. Area kids sign up in 4 different age/ gender categories and make donation jars that we will set up at local businesses during the month of September. Whoever collects the most in donations from the community will win the title.
Purple Motor Eater Car Show: New addition to the festival this year is this 10-class car & motorcycle show. Categories include Best Purple Car, and a “Mater” class among others. Pre-registration due by August 29th for a free event shirt. Registrations will also be accepted during the festival (just no free t-shirt).
Wooley’s Bazaar Craft and Vendor Show: Register now to request special accommodations and prime spots.
