The first-ever Oklahoma Farm Bureau 4-H Shotgun Shooting Sports Classic All-Around is officially in the history books. This exciting new event, held concurrently with the Oklahoma State 4-H Shotgun Shooting Sports Contest, recognizes the top county 4-H shotgun teams across the state.
The Oklahoma Farm Bureau 4-H Classic All-Around combines the top five individual scores from each county team across the three shotgun disciplines — Sporting Clays, Trap, and Skeet. The total of those scores determines the All-Around Team Champions, recognizing the most well-rounded and consistent shooting teams in Oklahoma 4-H.
This year, the Beckham County 4-H Shotgun Team made history as the Inaugural Oklahoma Farm Bureau 4-H Shotgun Shooting Sports Classic All-Around Champion.
Organizers expressed deep appreciation to Oklahoma Farm Bureau for sponsoring this new contest, which highlights the teamwork, marksmanship, and dedication of 4-H members statewide.
This contest celebrates not only skill and precision but also the teamwork and leadership that 4-H instills in young people.
A special thank-you goes to the Oklahoma 4-H Shooting Sports staff for accommodating the additional contest and maintaining the program’s commitment to safety as the top priority.
An especially big thank-you goes out to all the dedicated coaches who volunteer their time, energy, and expertise to guide and support these young athletes. Their leadership and encouragement are vital to the continued success of Oklahoma 4-H Shooting Sports.
