Sayre Strong Coalition Coffee & Donut Event
In a recent article titled “Sayre Strong Coalition Launches With a Mission to Rebuild Community,” the coalition’s first public event was incorrectly listed as taking place on Sunday, November 30. The correct date was Saturday, November 29. Since the time that article was written, the group originally responsible for organizing the coffee-and-donut gathering in the Dollar General parking lot has chosen not to move forward with the event as described. The event will NOT be held on November 29 or November 30.
This announcement was made after the story went to press and after the commitment had been publicly shared with the community.
The information in the article reflected the plans in place at the time of publication. The new plan is for the group to be at Hometown Christmas on December 6th.
The newspaper and the writer sincerely apologize for any confusion caused by the incorrect date and for announcing an event that the organizing group later decided not to proceed with. We remain committed to accurate reporting and to keeping the community informed as plans evolve.
