The City of Sayre has named Noe Sandoval as its 2025 Employee of the Year, recognizing his dedication, dependability, and unwavering commitment to keeping the city running safely and efficiently.
Sandoval has worked for the City of Sayre for the past two and a half years and has built a reputation as an employee who can always be counted on. He is known for showing up on time, maintaining a positive attitude, and tackling whatever task is placed in front of him—often several at once.
In his primary role, Sandoval is responsible for maintaining city equipment and ensuring it is safe and operational for city crews. Whether managing multiple projects at the same time or responding to unexpected equipment failures in the field, he remains composed and focused on getting the job done. When a call comes in, Sandoval answers without hesitation and is quick to say, “I am on my way.”
City officials also noted Sandoval’s commitment to fiscal responsibility. When sourcing equipment parts, he consistently shops around to find the best value, helping save taxpayer dollars while ensuring quality and reliability.
Beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, Sandoval serves as a volunteer firefighter for the City of Sayre, placing himself in harm’s way to protect others. His service extends well beyond a typical workday, as he may respond to fires or assist at vehicle accidents on the interstate— then still report for a full day of work for the city.
Sandoval is also recognized as a team player who willingly steps in to assist other departments when needed. He has been seen firsthand assisting with critical infrastructure repairs, including water main breaks, further demonstrating his commitment to the community.
