I hope everyone keeps their faucets dripping because we will be experiencing temperatures below freezing for a few days. I believe it! I love winter but would like to see more snow than just bitter cold weather! There’s no fun in that for anyone!
A baby shower to celebrate Trista and Dylan Kleckner is being held on Saturday, 1/24, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church here in Erick. Their baby registry can be found at the my.babylist.com website if you would like to check it out and see what gift items they might need or want.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Douglas Leon Crook. Services were held on Wednesday, 1/21, at the Main Street Baptist Church in Elk City, with interment at Buffalo Cemetery outside of Sayre.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Honor of Adrian Stands, Jr. today, Saturday, 1/24, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 400 S. Walnut Ave. here in Erick. We send our prayers and condolences to his family.
The City of Erick in conjunction with SWODA, have been awarded funds to provide meals twice weekly to individuals aged 60+ or handicapped/disabled persons. The cost is $3.00 per participant and will be available for pick up or delivery. Meals will be served by Main Street Bakery and Cafe.
