Erick Ramblings

It’s been too cold for anyone to get out here in Erick to make any news! We did get quite a lot of snow, but nothing like our Sayre neighbors. I have heard we had anywhere from 9” to 11” around here, causing school to be out and businesses to close for a couple of days. I, for one, did enjoy not leaving my house for a couple of days. A big thanks to my great nephews, Mason and Myles Reed, for digging out behind my car and driveway so that I could get out on Monday to come back to work.

Another reminder for the City of Erick in conjunction with SWODA, have been awarded funds to provide meals twice weekly to individuals aged 60+ or handicapped/disabled persons. The cost is $3.00 per participant and will be available for pick up or delivery. Meals will be served by Main Street Bakery and Cafe. For more information on the days to order, please contact Erick City Hall at 580-5263924.

Anniversary wishes are being sent out to Mark & Cathy LeGrand on 2/5.

Birthdays to celebrate for this issue (1/31/-2/6) will be: 1/31Dian Edwards and Jordan Perry; 2/1-David Guy, Todd Holland & Cathy Alexander; 2/2-Scott Harris & Christopher Hooks; 2/3-Mary Oren, Makayla Kirkland & Melinda Olson; 2/4-Zach Brinkley, Ashley Cummins & Alice Martin Mize; 2/5-Beverly Gillum; 2/6-Melissa Crosby, Karen Francis, Andy Elizondo & Jordan Roberts.
