Area Seniors Chosen as DAR Good Citizens

Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit org that promotes education, patriotism and historic preservation.

In promoting education, hosts The DAR Good Citizen Program and Scholarship Contest.

It is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. The students selected must possess the qualities of dependability, leadership, patriotism, and service. This program is open to one senior in each high school.

The following seniors have been selected as the DAR Good Citizen for their schools for 2025-2026: Austen Lindenfelser, Erick; Lexie Hanrahan, Sayre; Cole Carter, Merritt and Luke Friesen, Elk City. Washita Chapter NSDAR sponsors this program each year for 20 area high schools each year.
