Take a good look. It’s always there, part of a healthy, whole hand. Hold up your hand and you’ll see it. The one digit that is pointing the opposite of the other four fingers, every time. Oh yeah, you can force it to go along with all the others, but you do have to work at it. Dear Editor, Generosity throughout Sayre contributed to a successful shoebox gift collection season at drop-off locations for the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child. Across the U.S., the project collected 10 million shoebox gifts in 2023. Kiwanis Kids Karnival Just Around the Corner
Once again, the Elk City Kiwanis Club will be hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year, their Kids Karnival. It will take place on Feb. 2nd and 3rd, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the Elk City Civic Center. Tickets can be purchased from any Kiwanis member or at the door, cash only.
