HAROLD WAYNE CRAWFORD

HAROLD WAYNE CRAWFORD

Harold Wayne Crawford, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished member of his community, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, just days before his 89th birthday. He was surrounded by his family and his beloved wife, Pat, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

OBITUARIES

Harold was born on May 26, 1936, in Elk City, Oklahoma, to Francis Harold Crawford and Lura Gertrude (Clancy) Crawford. He married Opal Patricia “Pat” Molz on February 15, 1959, in Deerfield, Kansas—a beautiful beginning to a lifetime of love and partnership.

Harold grew up on the family farm in Carter, Oklahoma, where he was involved in 4-H and chosen by his teachers to represent the school at Boys State; Harold graduated from high school in 1956. He then attended Pueblo College, and was hired by the Santa Fe Railroad. Harold was drafted to the army then served 13 months in Korea. The oldest boy Kenneth was born during this time and he did not meet his son until he was 4 months old. Continuing his career with Santa Fe he advanced to Trainmaster and retired after 30 years. Harold then began his second career after purchasing an irrigated farm in Stanton County, Kansas; he retired from farming 33 years later.

Harold’s greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat; three sons, Kenneth (Kathy) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kirk (Mary Ann) of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Kerwin (Norma) of Columbia, Missouri; his sister, Delila Sims of Sayre, Oklahoma; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

Harold will be remembered for his quiet strength, his enduring love for family, and the steady guidance he offered to those fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on in the values he instilled and the lives he touched.
