PATRICIA SIMPSON

Pat grew up south of Sayre, Oklahoma and attended Delhi Schools and later transferred to finish at Carter, Oklahoma. During her senior year in high school she was married to Roger Dale Simpson in Carter, Oklahoma on December 31, 1966. Together Pat and Roger moved to various towns following Roger’s employment until making their home in the Carter community in the early 1970’s. Pat worked along side Roger on their family farm and their custom wheat harvest crews. She also ran the R&R Convenience Store in the 1980’s and continued to operate it until just recently. In what little spare time she had, Pat enjoyed keeping the score books for Carter athletics, fishing, and being active in the community. Pat’s favorite past-time was bragging about her grandchildren to anyone and everyone that would listen.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two infant children, Roy Dale and Diane Ruth Simpson; 6 siblings, Shirley Barker, Mary Jo Cavanaugh, Phyllis Ward, Roger Rippetoe, Larry Rippetoe, and Joel Rippetoe; special friend, Shirley Blankenship.
Pat is survived by her husband, Roger, of the home; 2 children, Char Villegas and husband, Mondo, and Robby Simpson and wife, Laurie, all of Carter, OK; 4 grandchildren, Kylan Simpson, Trey Fite and partner, Cadren Reed, Kandice Simpson and partner, Nathan Ferry, and Ryker Simpson; 5 bonus grandchildren, Michael Villegas, Joseph Villegas, Sophia Villegas, Jay Villegas, and Christian Villegas; 6 siblings, Gary Rippetoe, Kathy Moore, J.B. Rippetoe, Jan Helling, Sharon Jones, and Martheia Simpson; special nephew, Landon Simpson and wife, Melissa and their family, Carter, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
