Beverly Jo Mayer

Beverly was raised in Mangum, Oklahoma and graduated from Mangum High School in 1955. On September 3, 1955 she married Frank Mayer. Soon thereafter they moved to Iowa Park for a short time. They came back to Mangum where Frank went to work for the Mangum Police Department and she worked for Southwestern Bell as an operator. On August 9, 1956 they were blessed with a son, Michael Charles. In 1957, Frank joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and from there they were stationed in Lindsay for one year and then Healdton for one year. They then transferred to Sayre and have made Sayre their home from that time on. On October 14, 1959 they were again blessed with a daughter, Gena Marie. In 1965, she went to work as a teller for the City National Bank of Sayre and worked her way up to Vice President. She worked for the City National Bank of Sayre from 1965 until 1989. She loved working with all the many customers as well as co-workers who became dear life long friends. Beverly was a long-time member of the Sayre First Baptist Church and for many years served as a Sunday school teacher. She also enjoyed home shopping, watching Fox News, and spending time with her friends, family and caring for her dog, Pixie.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; brother, Eugene (Pete) Taylor and her dearly beloved son, Mike Mayer.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Gena and husband, Jeff Lambert, Sayre, OK; granddaughter, Shea Dawn, Sayre, OK; grandson, J.J. Lambert and partner, Sarah Taliaferro; grandson, Devin Lambert and wife, Katlin, Sayre, OK; great granddaughters, Maridian Bales and partner, Cody Sharum, Faith Bales and partner Devin Yowell, Ellie Lambert, Averie Lambert; one great grandson, Christian Bales along with other relatives and friends.
