Born to Joe and Florence Clifton, and raised on a farm in Kansas, life could have been easier, but those difficult times, laid the foundation, for the hard-working, generous person that was loved and respected by so many.

Upon graduating from Wichita Tech, Larry took a job with NCR, and moved to Oklahoma. He also served 4 years in the US Air Force, including one year with the 3rd MOB as a communication specialist in Turkey.

Out of the service, and back in Oklahoma, Larry took everything he’d learned in school, the military, and that Kansas farm, and dedicated the next 35 years to SWB/AT&T.

On July 12th, 2002, he married Roxann Isch, and together, they traveled the US, camping and enjoying the natural beauty of this country, on what Roxann called, “Adventures with Larry”. Larry called her, “His best friend”, but his passion for the outdoors was so great, that it required a First-Runner Up, so if Roxann was unable to fulfill her “best friend” duties, Charlie Bryan was always there. Whether it was hunting trips to Colorado, deer camp here at home, or just a little help with that month’s building “project”, Larry was never alone. Rich in friendship, he also had a wealth of talent, Larry could build practically anything, he made knives, did leather work, gun smithing, and was even known to apply paint to canvas.

From the first time his eyes opened in Kansas, to the last time they closed in Sayre, Oklahoma, Larry lived a life. A life so full, that it rendered the poetry of the English language useless.

Survived by his wife and best friend Roxann, stepson Dustin Coker (Sara), brothers Ron (BJ) Clifton, Bill (Michelle) Clifton, sisters Sandy (Paul) Ring, Donna Smith, Joan Sauer, mother-in-law – Pat Isch, sister and brother-inlaw Bab (Husky) Coker, Amanda (Brady) Benton, Tamie Smith, and Jarrett Isch, and many nieces and nephews including his special nephew Mark and his wife Patty Brumfi eld who have been praying for us and with us and so willing to share their love of Larry and Roxann at the service. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother Ida Clifton, his nephew Zach Clifton, sister Jowena Sutton, and father-in-law Lonnie Isch.

The family would like to thank Dr. DeRocher, as well as the staff from Comforting Hands Hospice: Amy, Daryl, Renita, and especially his RN Korie, who was there to ease the transition from this earthly life to the eternal with his Lord and Savior.
