SUZANN GIBSON

Suzann Gibson was born on June 4, 1948 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Walburn Chris Gibson and Wanda Gail Sanders Gibson. She passed away at the Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida on February 15, 2026.

Suzann grew up in Sayre, Oklahoma where she attended Sayre Public Schools. She enjoyed working, spending time with friends and especially playing basketball. Suzann graduated from Sayre High School in 1966. She the attended Sayre Junior College. Suzann married David Gipson of Shamrock, Texas, moving to Amarillo and later to Texola. She worked at the Sayre Journal as a photographer before moving to Texas. Suzann worked at a jockey agent in New Mexico and Michigan, following the quarter horse race industry until retiring in Florida.

She loved spending time with family, watching college football and basketball, planting and growing her flowers, and keeping up with her jockeys and quarter horse racing.

Suzann is preceded in death by her parents, father Walburn Chris Gibson, mother Wanda Gail Sanders Gibson; a son Sean David Gipson; a grandmother Gladys Richardson; step father Dewey Richardson; and brother in law Frank Mendez.

She is survived in death by a husband Make Tedder of Jay, Florida; a sister Kathy Gibson Mendez of Burns Flat, Oklahoma; a daughter Melissa Gipson Gribble and son in law Teddy Gribble of Vernon, Texas; son Wade Breazake of McCloud, Oklahoma; step daughter Lora Parham of Florida.

13 grandchildren, 7 great grand children, 4 nephews, 1 step grandson and 2 step nephews.

Graveside service is planned for Saturday March 14, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Lone Oak Cemetery located outside of Sayre, Oklahoma.
