LARRY JOHN MORGAN
LARRY JOHN MORGAN

Larry graduated from Erick High School in 1970 & went on to build a long, dedicated career in loss prevention & security with TG&Y & Hobby Lobby. In the 80s, he was the Sunday morning DJ at KCAN Radio, a role that perfectly matched his love for country music. During his early retirement, he continued serving his community as a Resource Officer for Western Heights. Larry also proudly served as a Reserve Deputy with Ok County for more than 20 years. A man of faith, Larry was a longtime member of New Hope United Methodist Church, dating back to when it was known as Shook Memorial. Larry was preceded in death by his father, J.B. Morgan; his stepfather, Jerald McBride; & his mother, Patricia McBride.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Peggy Morgan; his son, Chris Morgan; his daughters, Ivory Morgan & Chikari Jenkins & her husband, Aaron Jenkins; his granddaughter, Juliet Morgan; his sister, Sherri McKay; & many nieces & nephews who loved him dearly.
Larry had a gift for humor that touched everyone around him. Whether in person or through a perfectly timed Facebook post, he was always the first to crack a joke & brighten someone’s day. His favorite pastime was creating mischief with his granddaughter. You could never turn your back on the two of them, & if they ever got quiet, everyone knew they were scheming & up to “no good.” Their bond was full of laughter, love, & playful chaos.
With his big heart, generous spirit, & silly personality, Larry made a lasting impact on anyone who crossed his path. His presence brought joy, comfort, and laughter, & he will be deeply & forever missed.
