Friends of the Sayre Public Library had their 1st Annual Mother Son Dance August 5 held at the Sayre Methodist Church. We cannot thank the church enough for their continued support and we cannot thank the community enough for supporting us as well. These events wouldn’t be possible without you! This year’s Mother Son Dance theme was You Are My Superhero and everyone had a blast! Even our super surprise guests! A huge thank you to them for making everyone’s evening and a big thank you to Loret Photography. Our next event will be our Fall Festival which will be September 30 at the Methodist Church. Enjoying sunsets and sunrises, observing the emergence of flowers in the spring and bird-watching, convinces us of God’s love for beauty. There are many references to beauty and the adornment of beautiful brides in Scripture. So we know that the pursuit and cultivation of beauty is not in itself an evil thing. But we’ve all experienced the pain of allowing a good thing to become a wrong priority in our lives, so that it becomes deadly destructive.
