Berlin Community Building will host the annual fundraiser dinner on June 8, 2024, at 6:00 pm. The monies raised will be used for the upkeep of the building and to continue the monthly dinners. As money is available, building improvements are completed. A 64-year-old Sayre man has been released from the Beckham County Detention Center after being charged with planning an act of violence, feloniously pointing a firearm, and threatening to perform an act of violence. If convicted, Kevin Ray Powers will face up to ten years in prison. Invasive zebra mussels have been confirmed for the first time in Tom Steed Reservoir in Kiowa County, according to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. The mussels were discovered by U.S. Bureau of Reclamation engineers during a recent routine dam inspection.
